Greetings to the GS Mining Community,
It’s been a busy and productive couple of weeks as the race to mill completion nears the finish line. The highlight of the week was the successful installation of the Coarse Ore Bin. This was a major and difficult accomplishment and is an important milestone. The Bin is a multi-ton apparatus that is critical to the milling process. Ore bearing boulders are trucked from the mines and dumped into this bin to begin their transformative journey from rock to gold. Because we have to work within the confines of an aging structure, putting the bin in place was more like threading a needle than plugging in a piece of equipment. Here are a few videos taken as the installation was accomplished. The team did an amazing job, and we should all appreciate their hard work and dedication. Please note that this was all done in a ten degree temperature, while snowing, with sizeable wind gusts, frozen ground, and plenty of ice underfoot.
Meanwhile - on the inside of the Mill we continue to finish connecting and installing the motors that will drive all the equiopment. Take a look at a few videos showing the rake classifier, duplex jig and disk filter all in action. The next task is to hook up the conveyor belt from the Coarse Ore Bin into the Jaw Crusher. This work requires precise connections that couldn’t be done until the Coarse Ore Bin was installed.
When will it be done? As I told one of our investors who called from a golf trip to see how we were doing - the ball is next to the green and we are now an easy chip and putt from the hole.
Stay tuned. The next Notes should be celebratory.
Cheers,
GS Mining Company
